Centerfire Selection

2024 U.S. Centerfire World Championship Selection Process

1. Each Applicant submits their top 6 match finishes from either 2022 or 2023 PRS 2-day national matches. A minimum of 3 of your 6 matches must come from 2023, and at least one of those has to be an AG Cup qualifier match. (You do not have to be an AG Cup member to shoot an AG Cup match. We just want at least one of your 2023 scores to come from an AG Cup match.)

1a. For the Open class applicants only, 3 of the 6 regular season finishes submitted must be from 2023 AG Cup qualifier matches.

2. Each applicant must submit their best PRS Finale score from either 2022 or 2023

3. The winner of a match receives 100 points and the rest of the competitors receive points relative to their overall placement + score in the match. Placement and score both being weighted 50%. (Example: If your hit % at a match was 90%, and you finished 20th out of 100 so your placement % was 80%. When you fill in your hits, placement, highest number of hits, and total shooters at that match on the USA Team application, it will automatically calculate that your USA team score will be an 85% for that match.)

Additional Rules:

1. All PRS Pro series 2 day matches and both PRS Finales qualify for submission. The AG Cup 2 day and 1 day match do not qualify.

2. Anyone applying to shoot Limited division can only submit scores shot in the PRS Tactical division. 1 spot on the Limited team is awarded to the top PRS Tactical competitor application. Remaining spots are given to other PRS Tactical competitors whose total application score is within 95% of the top Tactical application. If there are not 3 Tactical applications within 95% of the top Tactical application the remaining Limited Team spot(s) will be filed with the top Open applicants that did not make the Open Team.

3. Anyone applying to shoot Factory division can only submit scores shot in the PRS Production division. 1 spot on the Factory team is awarded to the top PRS Production competitor application. Remaining spots are given to other PRS Production competitors whose total application score is within 95% of the top Production application. If there are not 3 Production applications within 95% of the top application the remaining Factory Team spot(s) will be filed with the top Open applicants that did not make the Open Team.

3a. If you wish to qualify for Factory division using an IPRF Factory approved rifle, please email us at info.uspra@gmail.com and we can outline the information we need up front and from each match so that we can verify that an IPRF factory approved rifle is being used to attain your submitted scores.

4. Only 1 regular season match score can be submitted from any shooting range per year.

5. Tie breaking on applications that receive the same score would be done based on placement in the PRS Finale match submitted on the application.

6. The number of slots for each division: Open-6, Limited-4, Factory-4, Ladies-4, Senior-4, Junior-4, Mil/Leo-4

7. We will start accepting applications the week after the 2023 PRS finale.
